The controversial “delete wallet” button.

March 15, 2009

In the last update we have added a “delete wallet” button to the unlock dialog – it was requested by people who forgot their encryption key and thus had no other choice but to delete the wallet (remember – there is no way to recover the encryption key).

We have since received feedback that sometimes friends and especially children were very tempted to press that button and follow all the way through the confirmation process. The red button has proved to be irresistible. Ourselves we use Passcode Lock security on our phones to avoid this problem, however not everyone does and we decided to restore the status quo.

The “delete” button has been… ahem, deleted in the latest updated which I submitted tonight to the App Store. We will reintroduce a more child-proof way of deleting the locked wallets in a future release.

We expect the new release to hit the store by Saturday.

We now have our user forums over here. Feel free to ask questions, submit requests and just chat with other fellow users. You don’t need to register to post – just drop by, we’re glad to see you.

Remember that if you are having technical problems and need help it’s better to contact technical support – we need to know who you are and may have to ask more details in order to help you out! :-)

There are other helpful resources on http://help.memengo.com/ as well.

New version and a giveaway.

March 8, 2009

“What’s on iPhone” is currently giving away several promo codes for Memengo Wallet over here. If you wanted to give one to a friend or a family member now would be good time to head over there and make your desire known!

This giveaway is to celebrate the last update we shipped couple of weeks back. Large text notes are now a lot easier to handle – tapping one will allow you to see it full-screen, rotate and zoom in/out (changing the font size).
